What We've Been Up To

The other day I was babysitting my friend's kids so they could go on a date. We rotate with them, so every other week we get to go on a date. It's honestly the coolest thing to do if you have kids. Anyways, it was a fairly nice day, so we sent the kids outside to play. Now that Austyn is no longer the baby, she thinks she should be able to do everything the big kids do, so we bundled her up and sent her out with them. A few minutes later, I looked out the window and saw her playing with this net. I thought she looked adorable so I took out my camera. Here is what I captured.

After she's been wearing her coat a while, she starts licking it. I have no idea why:)


A friend of mine brought over cupcakes for our super bowl party. One night, Travis was late getting home, so I fed the kids the 7 layer dip from the night before and gave them one last cupcake for dessert. I love the phase Austyn is in right now. She's wanting to be independent, but can't manage to do it without making a total mess. This is the only age where I will be laid back and let them make a mess. Once they're a little older, I get frustrated and make them clean it up.

Here is the sweet and innocent face of her feeding herself, but not making a mess. At first she doesn't want to smile.

As I turn away, she then decides to say, "Cheese and give me a grin."

I turn my back for two minutes, and little miss innocent goes to town.

If she wasn't so cute, it wouldn't be funny:)

One morning I decided to put a little more time into doing the girl's hair. Everyone looked so cute I had to get a picture. A million attempts later, I still didn't have one picture where they were all looking and smiling. Take a look for yourself.

I guess this picture isn't too bad, but Teancum's eyes are weird.

Here's one last night of messy faces after eating cupcakes. I swear I don't feed my kids sugar all the time, but I guess I only document them when they're eating junk food.

Anyways, not much going on here. Mostly day to day stuff that's pretty boring. We did go to Cleveland this last weekend to visit our friend's, The Coleman's. I forgot my camera, so I'll post about it when I get pics. from Leah. We had a blast.
